We offer a selection of audio and video equipment for hire, including:

• Microphones (wireless, lavalier, handheld)
• Speakers and amplifiers
• Mixing console for audio control
• Video camera
• Cables and accessories (e.g. for audio connection)

Presentation equipment (e.g. projectors, video conferencing systems, flipcharts) can also be borrowed.

The equipment in the LFTS technology pool is DGUV V3 certified.

As the representative body for the independent performing arts in Saxony, the LFTS equipment pool is primarily aimed at our members, who are granted a 20% discount on the listed rental fee.

Cultural actors and institutions from Saxony (private individuals and legal entities) can also use the equipment rental service for their cultural projects.

If technical equipment is loaned to an institution or legal entity, a natural person must be named as the person primarily responsible for the loan.

To borrow equipment from the LFTS technology pool, you must first register on the platform. You will then receive a separate email to verify your registration and complete the registration process. By registering, you agree to the general terms and conditions of rental and use as well as the privacy policy.

With your profile, you can now view the individual items in the equipment pool, check their rental fees and availability, and select your rental period. For individual items, matching equipment is displayed that you can also book. If several items of equipment are available during your selected rental period, you can also select these.

To complete the reservation, you must confirm your pre-selection. Please note that for technical reasons, a separate reservation is required for each piece of equipment. This allows you to customise the rental period and cancel each item individually.

Once we have received your reservation, we will check and process it as quickly as possible. You will receive a separate email from us shortly. The rental process begins with the confirmation of your reservation.

You can view the rental process and make changes, such as cancellations, via the platform. To do this, you must log in with your individual online access. All existing reservations are listed under ‘My reservations and rentals’.

You can use your profile to change your personal details and reset your password at any time.

We offer flexible loan periods, with a minimum loan period of 3 days. Items can only be issued and returned on working days.

The loan period begins when the items are issued by the LFTS and ends when the items are returned in person to the LFTS office. Despite the agreed rental period, we cannot guarantee that the rental items will be available on time.

The rental items must be returned by the agreed return date at the latest. Any extension of the rental period requires our prior consent. Additional fees may be charged for late returns.

We recommend reserving the equipment as early as possible.

Reservations for technical equipment can be cancelled free of charge via the platform up to 3 days before the start of the rental period. To do this, you must log in with your individual online access. You can cancel the reservation yourself under ‘My reservations and rentals’.

Pick-up and return of rental items take place by arrangement on weekdays at the LFTS office in villa\wigman, Bautzner Straße 107, 01099 Dresden.

Upon individual consultation, a different handover location may be agreed upon. The equipment can also be shipped upon payment of the shipping costs. We will ensure the safe transport of the rental items.

As part of the loan process, LFTS shall hand over the loaned items in working order together with all documents required for the contractual use of the equipment. The condition of the loaned items shall be jointly inspected and recorded.

The handover report becomes part of the loan agreement when signed by both parties. The loan agreement comes into force when signed by both parties.

The loan items must be returned in the condition in which they were handed over, less reasonable wear and tear. Please check that all instructions, parts and accessories are present before returning the items. The condition of the loan items will be checked again by both parties upon return and recorded in the handover report.

If the loan items are excessively worn or damaged upon return, we reserve the right to charge a corresponding fee.

The borrowers are liable for the loss or theft of the loaned items as well as for any damage caused to the loaned items through their fault or improper handling. In the event of manipulation or tampering with the loaned items, the borrowers shall be fully liable for any damage caused and for the technical services required as a result.

Borrowers undertake to provide adequate insurance and theft protection. The insurance must cover at least the replacement value of the loaned items and include damage caused by improper handling.

The rental fee varies depending on the item. Prices are displayed when selecting the equipment.

LFTS members receive a 20% discount on the rental fee shown. The discount will be deducted from the invoice.

Full days are always charged. Invoicing takes place after the rental items have been returned in full for the actual rental period. Payment is due within 14 days of invoicing.
